Yes for once I am going to ramble about my life for a few minutes!

I was waiting for my computer to reboot, so I decided to go look out the window. Looking out the window at the sun rising, I realized something. I realized that no matter where you are life can get bad and depressing. I have always believed that when I a depressed or sad it was because where I live, but its not. I realized it was something else, not sure what that is because it is gone now.

I don’t know what the point of this blog is, I guess I need to work out what in my mind in another way than thinking to myself.

I am up because I sleep all day yesterday, my boyfriend is sleeping in the bedroom and all I want is for him to wake up soon so I can rush to him, kiss him, and show him how much I love him. I guess I am just happy because I have a great man, and no matter what I truly believe he will always be there for me. He was there for me when I was stressed, when I quite my job, when I was in the hospital, now that I’m unemployed, not going to college because my car died. I don’t know all I can do is smile. Maybe, just maybe the key to happiness is love… Since the first time I meet my boyfriend I have been so happy, nothing can bring me down, all I do is think of him and I smile. Right now my face has the biggest smile my face can handle without breaking because I am think and writing about him. He really needs to wake up soon because I need to look into his eyes and smile. He will give the usually what, why are you smiling like your crazy look, and I will be like because of you. You make me so happy.

Before I finish I would like to ask a question. When you are in a relationship and are truly happy is it abnormal to listen to a sad song and smile? Maybe it’s because you life is the opposite of the song. It could also be its a great song, great beat, and it’s your favorite group. I am going to think it’s because of love!

I have simple question for you. If history started to repeat itself would you be able to see the parallels before it was to late to do something about it?

I watched a video (shown below) this morning and it has got me thinking. It brought up  questions like: Would I notice things going wrong in the world, signs of the same things that have happened before?; Would other people notice this as well?; Would we notice before it was to late and a power hungry governmental machine had taken over society?; and other things along these lines.

I guess my whole point in this blog would be, sometimes you just need to set back, review all the facts and information, and make sure that history isn’t repeating itself. After all, democracy and free governments alike are about questioning things and making your voice heard, not following a leader blindly into the dark of night, hoping he or she will do whats right for you and not just themselves.

This video depicts parallels between Hitler’s regime and President Bush’s, I am not saying there the same, I am not saying the direct message in this video is correct, but I am saying the basic concept that was applied reminds us to think about pass events and make sure they don’t happen again.

I have just finished reading an article [BBC - Homes 'can cut CO2 by up to 80%'] on Global Warming and it seems the U.K. is very serious about the problem, but all we do in the U.S. it talk about it. The U.K. government may start making it mandatory to decreasing CO2 emissions in homes by 3.8% starting as early as next year. The ultimate goal is to have reduced CO2 emissions 60% by 2050.

“How is the average home owner in the U.K. going to pay for this? ” is what your mot likely asking yourself, and the answer is simple. The government is going to give tax incentives along with Stamp Duty rebates.

Now, I have looked around the internet for any information about current efforts to pass a law in the U.S. to make it mandatory to lower CO2 and the only place I know of that does this is California. The U.S. Federal Government hasn’t made anything mandatory; can anyone say private interests and lobbying?

The current U.S. policy concerning Global Warming or what the GOP calls “Climate Change” for the most part states that we are going to go with the current U.N. policy that is to study the problem, take action after 2012, and have until 2009 to come up with an idea of what they want to do.

With a U.N. Climate Change conference schedule for next month we all need to get in gear and tell people what needs to happen, because lets face it, politicians well not do anything for there constituents unless they are pushed into it or we have a big wallet full of green.

In the U.S. the biggest problem with getting any type of change in CO2 emissions comes down to the simple fact that to many politicians have ties to big oil companies or own parts of them, they just don’t want to give up their money, thats why they ran for office in the first place.
